    Right on, Donna. Those in generations before us were more active (as they had less of the modern conveniences that we have) and ate less (restaurant portions were smaller and people actually COOKED using whole foods and less of the processed junk we rely on today). It all comes down to calories, regardless of whether that product is lowfat, low carb, low sugar. The key to weight management is not a can of Diet Pepsi and a box of lowfat crackers; it’s to eat less and move more. It’s that simple.

    You’re absolutely right. We should not totally avoid fat when it comes to food. Just like cholesterol in our body, there is good fat and there is bad fat. Tuna, olive oil and nuts are the easiest to find here at our place. Thanks for sharing!
